Character & Canon Name: Katsuya Jonouchi | Yu-Gi-Oh! DM (Fanfic: Skein)
Character Age: 17
Canon Info: Canon Jonouchi is here, but some fun AU Differences include-
- Kaiba being a woman (who is still 6'2'' fuck you)
- Jonouchi getting hired really early in canon by Mokuba to do security, for reasons
- Mokuba proceeding to make him live at the house, also for reasons!
- Jonouchi ending up with a turbo murdered past life it be that way sometimes.
Technically I have a whole write up for things here, in an old game app, but please trust me when I say it's a write up summarizing a 1.5 million long fanfic, please love yourself.
Personality: The platonic ideal of Boys will be Boys, Jonouchi from 'Skein' is a little tempered down a bit because he got hit with so much bullshit that only he could see, that he got Really Good at hiding his reaction. Wow! His standard for bullshit is off the charts, and he's swiftly moved from NOTHING IN LIFE MATTERS!! (derogatory) to NOTHING IN LIFE MATTERS! (cringe and free). He's extremely passionate to say the least, but while he's got a few easy-to-rile-up points that can be hit, it's a lot less than canon, and he can let it slide off real easy if he knows the source. Which is great, because that means more stuff to be excited about instead!
Got a loyal heart of gold in that empty head, but he's at least a little more canny to things thanks to having to deal with Kaiba bullshit way more than canon. That same constant bullshit makes him a pretty understanding guy actually, even if the street smarts and paranoia butt heads with it a lot. His compromise is keeping secrets and also pain bottled up until it explodes- or until he has to get serious, which no one wants from him.
Power Summary: oh boy
As what amounts to a walking Millennium Item, Jonouchi gets the following 'fun' perks:
- Viewing and experiencing duels as actual things that are happening; this includes talking to the cards OUTSIDE a duel! And summoning them, if he tried.
- Extending the above to other people; if he wanted, he could really hurt someone. With cards. Gasp!
- Seeing other people's shadow games. Can't go making one though.
- He's got Red Eyes in his shadow! He needs to figure that out, but they're in there!
- Once he figures that out, he can play with that same shadow like it's weird goop, just for funsies. But again, has to figure that out first.
- He tends to stabilize and amplify Millennium Items, and the spirits IN them. That. Probably won't matter here!
- Most Vitally; Jonouchi gets uncontrolled visions of the future and past- largely vague and unhelpful, and always something that actually Happens. Because of this, it's a pretty huge 'I will ask first' thing; any visions Jonouchi has will otherwise focus entirely on him, and him alone.
